BEST CROSSOVERS IN INDIA UNDER 10 LAKHS

India is a market which is largely obsessed by SUVs’ because of the bad road condition of Indian roads which has lot of patch holes it is not easy to travel in a sedan’s and a hatchback’s. Due to adverse traffic condition of Indian metropolitan cities SUV are not easy to drive and park. So, to tackle this problem Renault came out with an alternative Renault Duster crossover in India in year 2011, after that all the car manufacturing companies jumped into  the segment  to have their piece of pie. Now the car market is flooded with crossovers it is not easy to decide which one is the best crossover in India that too under 10lakhs budget.

   1.   FORD ECOSPORT:-

Ford entered the crossover segment in India in 2012 with Ecosport after its great success. Now it has launched its facelift version in Nov ’17 with all new interiors and exteriors .It is the safest of all in this segment comes with 6 airbags. Ford has dropped its 1.0 Ecoboost petrol engine from its facelift and added a new 1.5 litre 3 cylinder petrol unit which produces 121.3bhp but diesel engine remains the same. It also comes with all new infotainment system which has Apple car and Android auto which was missing in previous version. Its Compact, Safe, Techsavvy, easy to drive in city and highways too.

   2.   MARUTI SUZUKI VITARA BREZZA:-

Maruti entered the segment with Vitara Brezza   and it became the hot favorite among Indians because of its muscular SUV type design . It also comes with two tone colour option to make it more youthful.Maruti has put in tried and tested 1.3 litre engine which produces 88bhp and 200nm of torque. Its comes with a touch screen infotainment system which is compatible with Apple Car Play and Android Auto. Maruti doesn’t offer any petrol engine in brezza.

Price:- Rs 7.23 Lakhs to Rs 9.69 Lakhs

   3.    TATA NEXON:- 

Tata has designed Nexon on Tata’s Impact Design 2.0 Language which has changed the tata cars fully earlier it has launched its hatchback Tiago and midsized sedan Tigor on this design language. It is offering 1.2litre Turbocharged Revetron petrol engine mated with both 6speed manual and automatic transmission and 1.5 Turbocharged Revotorq diesel  which produces 108 bhp @3750rpm this is also mated with both transmissions as in Petrol. Both of its engine are Made In India by Tata motors. This product joins our list of Best Crossovers in India Under  10lakhs.

   4.    HONDA WRV:-

Honda has entered this segment with its Jazz based crossover it also offers same engine options as jazz. it is powered by 1.2l petrol motor which produces 89bhp @6000rpm and 1.5l Variable Geometry  diesel engine which produces 99bhp@3600rpm powers most Honda diesel cars but one feature which sets it apart is The Sunroof which is trending with youngsters at this price.

   5.     MAHINDRA TUV300:-

Mahindra is a leader in SUV segment but when it tried to enter the Crossover segment with Quanto, it was unsuccessful. Then it launched the TUV300 it was a great product and matches with Mahindra’s rugged image. It come in with 1.5litre m hawk engine which produces 100bhp @3750rpm and 240nm of torque @1600rpm mated with 5 speed manual as well as automatic gearbox .It is a rear wheel drive version only in the segment.

   6.    MARUTI SUZUKI SCROSS:-

SCROSS is premium product as compared to Vitara Brezza which is sold at its premium dealership Nexa .It is powered by 1.3litre DDIS 200 Smart Hybrid diesel engine which produces 89bhp @4000rpmand 200nm torque@1750rpm mated with 5speed transmission. Petrol engine is missing in Scross it might be launched soon. Earlier there was a 1.6litre diesel engine which is discontinued in this new facelift .Scross picked up sales after launch of face lift in 2017.

   7.   HYUNDAI CRETA:-

Hyundai launched its Creta Crossover in 2015 with its launch it became a hot favorite of Indian youth .It comes in three engine options 1.6litre petrol , 1.4litre diesel ,1.6litre diesel but for customers with only 10lakh budget they get only two engine that two in entry level versions .

Only 1.6litre petrol and 1.4 litre diesel engines are available. So, that is not a great option.
